Where to begin...
It's been a long journey to where I am today and I'm hopeful it's going to keep getting better. I'm not quite sure what to say for my first blog post but today seemed like just as good as any to start.
I finally started recording my first solo album today. Got some guitar tracks laid down and a few set up for recording tomorrow. I decided that I'm not going to let fear hold me back. Sometimes it's hard for me when I'm worried about how it's going to turn out or if anyone will like the songs I've written and I can find all kinds of excuses to not do it. But I suppose most everyone feels that way sometimes.
I've been watching a lot of "The Recording Revolution" videos on YouTube and the one thing Graham keeps pushing is for us to just get up and do it, and hearing him talk about everything and how your first (and many in the future) record isn't going to be "perfect" but that's okay. What's important is doing it. And sharing it with others.
So, here's to hope.
Wish me luck, and we'll see how well I meet my goal of January 1st 2017 as the release date of my debut album.
Keep it real,
